- Install A-pillar reinforcement and check that it fits perfectly. Check gap dimensions.

- 3.1 Align A-pillar reinforcement -arrow A- and position in area -B- by moving it in direction of arrow.

- Resistance spot-weld the A-pillar reinforcement.
- MAG-weld area -A-

- Prepare connection areas on bracket for longitudinal member for wheel housing.

- Fit in bracket for longitudinal member for wheel housing.
- 8.1 For better positioning of the bore holes, fit the wing holder -2- .
- 8.2 Drill holes for rivets in the marked areas -1- using > Diameter 6.6 mm Drill bit diameter of 6.6 mm.

- Rivet in bracket for longitudinal member for wheel housing in area -B-
. > BLIND RIVET 999.190.230.01
- 9.1 Resistance spot-weld bracket for longitudinal member for wheel housing in area -A- .

- Apply a full weld to the door hinges in area -A-
using inert gas.

Bonding areas on lower B-pillar section
- Rivet in B-pillar section.

- 12.1 Rivet in B-pillar section in areas -B, C- . > BLIND RIVET 999.190.227.01
- 12.2 Resistance spot-weld the B-pillar section in area -A- .
- 12.3 Apply a full weld to the B-pillar section in area -D- using inert gas.
- Apply a full weld to the B-pillar section in area -X-
using inert gas.
Lower B-pillar section
- Cut new inner side panel section in accordance with the measurements and the old part.

- Prepare inner side panel section for bonding.
Information
- Before final assembly, make sure you fully understand all the work steps involved and carry out a trial assembly without applying adhesive.
- The bonding process can only be carried out reliably when a smooth and swift sequence of operations is guaranteed.
- Do not begin bonding work until all materials and tools necessary for later repair work are available.

Bonding areas on inner side panel section
- Install inner side panel section.
- 16.1 Resistance spot-weld area -A- .
- 16.2 Apply a full weld to area -X- using inert gas.
Installing inner side panel section
- Cut new outer side section in accordance with the measurements and the old part.
- Prepare new part for bonding.
