Installing Front Panel

Information 

• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle or a similar component. 
• Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. 

1. Apply adhesive to the front panel and body.

   Apply adhesive evenly over the entire bonding surface. > Application depth 0.5 mm

2. Also apply a bead of adhesive to the joint areas. > Application depth 5 mm 
3. Position front panel using the straightening system.
4. Rivet in front panel.

5. Make ground connections.
   1. 5.1  Drill bores for ground connections. > Diameter 8.2 mm

   2. 5.2  Make ground connection using a screw and nut.

      > 5X00IN25 MAKING GROUND CONNECTIONS

      > COUNTERSUNK SCREW 999.073.549.01  > HEXAGON NUT 900.377.003.01  > Tightening torque 15 (11 ftlb.) Nm

6. Apply adhesive to the cross member.
