Information:
During the sales check (PDI) or after vehicle delivery to customers, complaints are received about dust/spots on the headlight lens.
Action required:
Before replacing a headlight due to visual complaints, the condition of the headlight lens and the chrome components in the headlight must be checked according to the following criteria.
Conditions for evaluating the headlight lens and chrome components:
- Headlight is switched off
- Assessment takes place in daylight without a shop light
- Assessment distance 0.5 m/1.64 ft
- Assessment position 0° to 45° at front to headlight
- Assessment duration: 15 seconds
If no visual defects are perceptible under these evaluation criteria, the headlight replacement is not justified .
