Removing Fuel Line (Right High-Pressure Pump To Rail)

The rules relating to cleanliness and instructions for working on the fuel system must always be observed before and during the work.

Information

Check fuel line for damage following removal and replace it if necessary.

Expose the cable duct.
1. 1.1 Unscrew screws -1 and 2- , loosen bracket for torque support -3- and secure it at a suitable position with a tie-wrap.
2. 1.2 Release vent line -4- , disconnect it and wedge it behind the aluminium strut.

Unscrew screw -4- and set fuel line -5- aside.

Fuel line
Loosen cable duct.
1. 3.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connections -1- for ignition coils for cylinders 1 to 4.
2. 3.2 Release and disconnect electric plug connections -2- for fuel injectors for cylinders 1 to 4.
3. 3.3 Release and disconnect electric plug connection -3- for valve lift on exhaust camshaft.
4. 3.4 Release and disconnect electric plug connections -4- for hall sender for outlet camshaft.
5. 3.5 Release and disconnect electric plug connections -5- for valve lift on intake camshaft.
6. 3.6 Release and disconnect electric plug connection -6- on fuel pressure sensor.
7. 3.7 Loosen nuts -7- and tie cable duct -8- up using a tie-wrap.

Information
- Open connections and lines must be closed off using suitable stoppers or caps.
Remove fuel line -1- .
1. 4.1 Unscrew screw -12- and screw off union nuts -13- .
2. 4.2 Lift sound absorber and guide out fuel line -1- .
