Removing High-Pressure Pump

Information 

• Escaping fuel must be soaked up using suitable binding material. 
• The fuel system must be depressurized before starting work on it. 
• Only work on the fuel system in well-ventilated rooms. 
• Any seals that were removed must always be replaced. 
• Never use sealant containing silicone or silicone spray when the injection system is open. Traces of silicone drawn in by the engine are not combustor and damage the oxygen sensors. 

Information 

The rules relating to cleanliness and instructions for working on the fuel system must always be observed before and during the work.

Information 

• Open connections and lines must be closed off using suitable stoppers or caps. 

1. Remove heat shield -1-  .
   1. 1.1 Unscrew and remove screws -2-  .
   2. 1.2 Remove heat shield -1-  .

2. Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1-  from the high-pressure pump.

3. Remove sound absorber -1-  .

   Information 

   • Do not bend high-pressure lines. 
   • Check connection points for leaks following fitting. 
4. Unscrew union nut -1-  and press high-pressure line -2-  aside.

5. Unscrew screws -1-  and remove high-pressure pump -2-  with roller tappet.
