Removing Seat Position Sensor

Information

• country-specific, national, legal and official regulations,
• local restrictions and export restrictions,
• manufacturer's specifications from component and vehicle manufacturers,
• component-specific specifications.

These strict specifications apply in particular:

• Storage, installation and removal, transport and disposal of vehicles, assemblies, operating materials and auxiliary materials,
• handling of defective and potentially hazardous vehicles as well as assemblies,
• handling of battery electric vehicles and high-voltage components.

1. Removing the seat.

2. Unscrew screw on seat position sensor.

3. Remove sensor from upper rail.
4. Re-cut thread on press nut using an M4 thread cutter to remove the rest of the micro-encapsulation.
5. Disconnect sensor from wire harness.
6. Drill out rivet on counterplate.

7. Unclip counterplate at the seat rail.
8. Clean seat rail and upper rail and remove chips.
