Installing Driver Airbag Unit

Information 

Before installing the driver's airbag unit, check whether the retainer spring, mounting or metal stop on the steering wheel is deformed.

Replace damaged component if it is deformed.

Install driver's airbag unit only if the retainer spring is working perfectly and is at the correct position. The retainer spring must not jam or become hooked.

  1. Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:

    Check installation position of driver's airbag unit.

    Pull gently on the driver's airbag unit and check that it is locked correctly.
