- Switch off ignition and move remote control (hand-held transmitter) at least 2 meters away from the vehicle.

Wait 1 minute after disconnecting the battery ground strap before removing the airbag triggering unit.
- Disconnect ground strap for battery.
- Remove centre console.
- Remove rear centre air vent.
