Checking Rotor For Hall Sender

Information 

• Always check hall-sender rotor before installation. 
• The hall-sender rotor must not come into contact with a magnet. 
• If the hall-sender rotor comes close to a magnet, it must be replaced. 

1. Check condition of rotor using tool > T10473 - Test card  .
   1. 1.1 > T10473 - Test card-2-  must be held and turned over the rotor -1-  .
   2. 1.2 An undamaged rotor -1-  will be indicated by continuous stripes -arrows-  .

      Result: Rotor OK!

2. Second test step: TDC marking 
   1. 2.1 "TDC marking" -arrow-  on undamaged rotor.

3. Always replace a damaged rotor.
   1. 3.1 No stripes -arrow-  will be visible if the rotor is damaged.

      Result: Rotor not OK - replace it!

4. Only install an undamaged rotor.
