Installing Primary Catalytic Converter

1. 1.1 Move primary catalytic converter -1-  into installation position.
2. 1.2 Fit primary catalytic converter -1-  on holder -3-  .
   1. 1.2.1 Fit and tighten screws -2-  .

   > Tightening torque 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)

   Instating primary catalytic converter

1. 2.1 Replace gasket.
2. 2.2 Fit and tighten -1-  nuts.

   > Tightening torque 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)

   Catalytic converter flange

Replace V-band clamp.

1. 3.1 Replace seal -1-  on V-band clamps.
   1. 3.1.1 Carefully lever out the seal using a screwdriver and insert a new seal.
2. 3.2 Tighten new V-band clamp for securing primary catalytic converter to catalytic converter.

   > Tightening torque 15 Nm (11 ftlb.)

Oxygen sensors downstream of catalytic converter

1. 5.1 Insert the new seal.
2. 5.2 Fit primary catalytic converter on turbocharger.
3. 5.3 Carefully tighten screw -2-  on V-band clamp -1-  .

   > Tightening torque 7 Nm (5 ftlb.)
