Activating Emergency Call System
- Irreparable damage to control unit
- Damage to control unit
- Fault entries in the control unit
- Control unit programming/coding is aborted
- Malfunctions in the control unit, even during programming
→ Switch off ignition before disconnecting the control unit.
→ Make sure that the power supply is not interrupted during programming/coding.
→ Connect the battery charger with at least > current 90 A to the vehicle battery.
Information
If the ERA GLONASS control unit is replaced, the following information must be sent to ivsactivation@aoglonass.ru:
- ICC ID
- VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)
- Body number
- Brand
- Model
- Colour
The CSV file must not be bigger than 75 kByte.
The information in the CSV file should be UTF-8-encoded.

If commissioning fails or if the test call for the emergency call system fails, a vehicle analysis log (VAL) must be created using the > 9818/ET 500 - Y-connector, Russia and the importer must be contacted.
A vehicle with an emergency call system that is not fully functional cannot be handed over to the customer!
If the emergency call system issues the announcement "Test failed", the activation process has failed even if the LED on the SOS button is permanently green.
- Connect the Tester to the service disconnector using > 9818/ET 500 - Y-connector, Russia .
- Remove dashboard cover at the left. Connect the red cable to the emergency call system (ERA GLONASS) socket.
Connecting PIWIS Tester and emergency call system
- Connect the black cable to the service disconnector socket in the vehicle.
- Select the vehicle type if required.
- Select Emergency call system (ERA GLONASS) in the overview. Press F12 to continue. The message "Create Vehicle Analysis Log (VAL)?" appears. Press F11 to continue.
- Maintenance/repairs must now be selected.
- Control unit start-up must now be selected. Press F12 to continue and then press F8 to start.
- Follow the instructions on the Tester.
- A message appears reporting that the start-up procedure was completed successfully.

If the Tester and VCI are not disconnected from the vehicle, the activation process cannot be performed.
- Exit the diagnostic application. Disconnect the Tester from the vehicle.
- Leave the ignition switched on until the LED on the SOS button (centre console) changes from flashing green to permanent green. (This can take up to 2 minutes)
- Control unit is activated. Emergency calls (SOS button) and test calls (additional button) can be made.
- Park the vehicle in a place where mobile phone reception is guaranteed.
- Open the cover on the SOS button.
- Press the additional button for approx. 5 seconds using a suitable tool until you hear a "beep".

- Make the emergency call system test call in order to check SIM card activation as follows.

The following scenarios are possible after completing the commissioning/activation process for an emergency call system that is not fully functional:
- LED on SOS button flashes or lights up red: System fault; read out fault memory
- LED on SOS button flashes or lights up red and system announcement "Test failed": System fault or network connection fault
- LED on SOS button lights up green and system announcement "Test failed": Network connection fault; contact importer
