Removing Lane Change Assist Control Unit

NOTE: Voltage peaks 
  • Risk of damage to electrical load or to the control unit 

    → Switch off ignition and keep transmitter key outside of the transmission range (at least 5 m).

    → Switch off electrical loads before disconnecting or removing them.

Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!

Information 

If a Lane Change Assist control unit is replaced, the control units (master and slave) must always be replaced in pairs. The replacement of only one Lane Change Assist control unit is not permitted.

  1. Switch off ignition and remove ignition key or handheld transmitter.
  2. Loosen Lane Change Assist control unit.

    Loosen Lane Change Assist control unit

    1. 2.1 Release electric plug connection -1-  and disconnect it.
    2. 2.2 Unscrew nuts -2-  .
  3. Removing Lane Change Assist control unit -3-  .
    1. 3.1 Lane Change Assist control unit -3-  with holder.
    2. 3.2 Unclip Lane Change Assist control unit -3-  from the retaining lugs. -4-
