Disassembling Rear Shock Absorber (PASM)

Information
The release tools are contained in the following tool sets:
- VAS 1978/7A: > VAS 1978/35-20 - Release Tool Set
- VAS 1978/17: > VAS 1978/35-33 - Release Tool Set
- Unpin connector housing using VAS 1978/7A (primary release) and VAS 1978/17 (secondary release).
- Pull off grommet for connector housing and spring-strut mount.
- Clamp shock absorber in a vice using aluminium protective jaws.
- Unscrew nut using > 3353 - socket-wrench insert-1-
and counter at the hexagon on the piston rod at the same time.
Nut on piston rod (PASM)
- Remove spring-strut mount with rubber stop and boot.
- Pull rubber stop out of the spring-strut mount and boot.
- Release shock absorber from the vice.
