Assembling Rear Shock Absorber (Conventional)

Information

A soapy solution can be used for fitting the rubber stop in the boot.

Fit rubber stop into spring-strut mount and boot.
Position spring-strut mount with rubber stop and boot on the shock absorber.
Align spring-strut mount at a 90° angle -X- with respect to the lower spring-strut mount.

Aligning spring-strut mount
Screw on and tighten nut using ratchet -1- and > T10001 - shock absorber set-2 to 4- and counter at the hexagon on the piston rod at the same time.
> Tightening torque 35 Nm

1. Ratchet (commercially available)
2. T10001/9 Extension with counter-hold tool
3. T10001/11 Change-over ratchet
4. T10001/1 Socket-wrench insert
Push protection cap onto spring-strut mount.
