Removing Cylinder Head Cover - Right Cylinder Bank

- Remove holder for solenoid valves -1-

Holder for solenoid valves
- 1.1 Pull solenoid valves -2- off the holder -1- and set them aside.
- 1.2 Unscrew nuts on holder -3- .
- 1.3 Remove holder -1- .
- Release and disconnect cable plugs for camshaft sensors -1-
.

Information
- Sealing faces must be cleaned to remove all residual sealant.
- Sealing faces must be free of grease and oil.
- Sealing faces must be cleaned with primer Loctite 7515.
- Remove cylinder head cover -21-
.

Cylinder head cover on right cylinder bank
- 3.1 Unscrew screws on cylinder head cover -1 to 20- .
- 3.2 Screw two screws (M8 x 25) into the threaded bores -22- by hand.
- 3.3 Tighten screws alternately by half a turn each until the cylinder head cover -21- is loosened.
- 3.4 Remove cylinder head cover -21- .
- 3.5 Remove screws from the threaded bores -22- .
- 3.6 Carefully clean sealing faces on the cylinder head cover.
