Removing Cylinder Head Cover - Left Cylinder Bank

- Only for vehicles with particle filter:
Loosen differential pressure sensor holder -1- .
Differential pressure sensor holder
- 1.1 Unscrew screws for differential pressure sensor holder -2- .
- 1.2 Set differential pressure sensor holder -1- aside.
- Release and disconnect cable plugs for camshaft sensors -1-
.

Information
- Sealing faces must be cleaned to remove all residual sealant.
- Sealing faces must be free of grease and oil.
- Sealing faces must be cleaned with primer Loctite 7515.
- Remove cylinder head cover -20-
.

- 3.1
Unscrew screws on cylinder head cover -1 to 19-
.
- 3.1.1 Replace screws.
- 3.2 Screw two screws (M8 x 25) into the threaded bores -21- by hand.
- 3.3 Tighten screws alternately by half a turn until the cylinder head cover -20- is loosened.
- 3.4 Remove cylinder head cover -20- .
- 3.5 Remove screws from the threaded bores -21- .
- 3.6 Carefully clean sealing faces on the cylinder 1 head cover.
