Removing Lower Chain Housing (V6 Turbo)

- Unscrew upper screws securing lower chain housing cover -1-
to both cylinder banks.

- Remove lower chain housing cover -3-
.
- 2.1 Unscrew screw on coolant line holder -2- .
- 2.2 Unscrew screws on lower chain housing cover -1- .
- 2.3 Screw one screw into each of the threaded bores -Arrows- by hand.
- 2.4 Tighten screws carefully and uniformly in order to loosen the lower chain housing cover -3- from the bonding.
- 2.5 Remove lower chain housing cover -3- .
- 2.6 Unscrew screws used for loosening from the lower chain housing cover -3- .

Information
- Sealing faces must be cleaned to remove all residual sealant.
- Sealing faces must be free of grease and oil.
- Sealing faces must be cleaned with primer Loctite 7515.
- Clean sealing faces.
- Remove crankshaft sealing ring (flywheel side).
