Installing Crankshaft Vibration Damper (V6 Turbo)

Information 

• Replace screws for vibration damper. 
• Do not lubricate the screw thread and crankshaft flange thread. 
• Clean the thread on the crankshaft flange to remove grease. 

1. Fit crankshaft vibration damper -1-  . Be careful of the dowel sleeve -2-  .

   Crankshaft vibration damper

   1. 1.1  Screw in new  screw by hand.
2. Fit counterhold tool T40330/1  .

   Counterhold tool T40330 on vibration balancer

   1. 2.1  Turn the crankshaft so that counterhold tool T40330/1  can be fitted.
   2. 2.2  Fit adapter T40330/4 -2-  to the crankshaft vibration damper using counterhold tool T40330/1 -4-  .
   3. 2.3  Fit spacer sleeve T40330/3 -3-  underneath, then fit and tighten screw -Arrow-  .
      • Tightening torque 23 Nm (17 ftlb.) 
   4. 2.4  Tighten screw -1-  . > Initial - tightening 150 Nm (111 ftlb.)  + > Final tightening 90° 
3. Remove counterhold tool T40330/1  .
