Disassembling Front Drive Shaft

Both joints (on transmission and wheel side) can be replaced on the front axle.
The entire drive shaft must be replaced if the profile shaft of the joint pin is defective.

1. 5.1 Pull outer drive shaft boot off the joint pin.
Clamp the drive shaft (use aluminium protective jaws). Position an aluminium mandrel on the ball hub of the joint (on the wheel side) (star-shaped inner ring) -Arrow- and remove the joint (on the wheel side) by hitting it several times with a hammer.
