Installing Engine Mounting

Left engine mount

1. 1.1  Position engine mount -1-  with retainer plate.
2. 1.2  Fit new fastening screws -4-  and screw in -3-  as far as they will go by hand.
3. 1.3  Fasten engine mounts -1-  to engine support on both sides of the vehicle.
   1. 1.3.1  Lower engine by about 20 mm at the spindle of the > 10-222A - support bracket  .
   2. 1.3.2  Fit new screws -2-  on both sides of the vehicle and tighten.
      • Initial tightening 90 Nm (67 ftlb.) 
      • Final tightening + 90° 
   3. 1.4  Tighten the screws -3-  .
      • Tightening torque 55 Nm (41 ftlb.) 
   4. 1.5  Tighten the screws -4-  .
      • Tightening torque 30 Nm (22 ftlb.) 

Fasten starter wire harness -1-  to potential distributor at longitudinal member.

Starter wire harness to potential distributor

1. 2.1  Position starter wire harness -1-  .
2. 2.2  Secure holder -6-  .
   1. 2.2.1  Position the holder.
   2. 2.2.2  Screw on and tighten nut -7-  .
      • Tightening torque 20 Nm (15 ftlb.) 
3. 2.3  Screw on and tighten nut -5-  .
   • Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.) 
4. 2.4  Close and lock cover of potential distributor -4-  .
5. 2.5  Connect and lock cable plug -3-  .
6. 2.6  Screw on and tighten nut -2-  .
   • Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.)

Level sensor cable

1. 3.1  Position level sensor cable -1-  .
2. 3.2  Clip in clip -4-  .
3. 3.3  Connect and lock cable plug -3-  .
