Removing Motor For Sun Blind
WARNING:
Electrically moved components
- Danger of limbs being trapped or severed
- → Switch off electric power to drive motor.
- → Make sure it does not switch on again.
- → Check that there is no electric charge.
Information
Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!
- Always wear approved work clothes and shoes when carrying out assembly work.
- Do not remove new parts from ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging until shortly before installation.
- Do not touch electric pins and plug contacts.
Information
The glass sliding roof motor is located on the glass sliding roof frame at the front.
The sun blind motor is located on the glass sliding roof frame at the rear.
The control units for the panorama roof system are installed in the glass sliding roof motor and sun blind motor.
- Switch off ignition and keep transmitter key outside of the transmission range (at least 2 m).
- Pull out locking mechanism on electric plug connection -1- (-arrow A-)
, press release -arrow B-
and disconnect and pull off electric plug connection -1-
on sun blind motor -2-

Sun blind motor
- Unscrew screws -1-
and remove sun blind motor -2-
from glass sliding roof frame.
