Installing Water Drain (Rear Sleeve)

Information
The new sleeve -1- has - a different geometry and, unlike the old sleeve -2- , has one drain flap -3- .

- De-grease connection areas -1-
on the water drain hose -2-
and new sleeve -3-
using isopropanol.

Information
Check that the new sleeve is positioned Correctly. An incorrect position can impair the function of the procedure.
- Insert and position new sleeve -1-
in the body.
Position of sleeve
- 2.1 Position new sleeve -1- so that the drain flap opens towards the rear and the rubber hinge -2- is facing in direction of travel.
- Apply one drop
of fast drying adhesive (cyanoacrylate) > LOCTITE 000.043.305.92-1-
to the outside of the water drain hose -2-
and insert it into the already-positioned sleeve -3- (-Arrow-)
.
Adhesive
- Allow fast drying adhesive to harden for 10 minutes.
- Carefully pour 0.5 L water -1-
into the guide rail -2-
for the sliding roof in the direction of the water drain and check that the water runs out correctly.

- Position inner part -1-
of rear side trim panel and clip it in.
