Replacing Roof Console

NOTIFICATION 

Voltage drop 

• Irreparable damage to control unit 
• Damage to control unit 
• Fault entries in the control unit 
• Control unit programming/coding is aborted 
• Malfunctions in the control unit, even during programming 

→ Switch off ignition before disconnecting the control unit.

→ Make sure that the power supply is not interrupted during programming/coding.

→ Connect the battery charger with at least > current 90 A  to the vehicle battery.

Information 

Different text may be displayed with higher software versions.

1. Connect the Tester to the vehicle and start it. Switch on ignition.
2. Select the vehicle type if required.
3. Select the Rear-end electronics  control unit in the overview.  Press F12 to continue. The message "Create Vehicle Analysis Log (VAL)?" appears. Press F11 to continue.
4. Coding/programming  must be selected.
5. Automatic coding  must now be selected. Press F12 to continue.
6. The Tester displays the message: Coding was completed successfully.
7. Drive links/checks  must be selected.
8. Front roof console  must be selected.
9. Teach roof console  must be selected. Press F12 to continue.
10. The Tester displays the message: Roof console taught successfully.
11. Read out the fault memory, correct faults that are stored if necessary and clear the fault memory.
