→ Only appropriately trained and authorized persons are permitted to work on high-voltage vehicles and components.
→ Required qualification: High voltage technician or high voltage expert.
→ Observe national requirements and legislation for this work.
→ Always use insulated tools, e.g. > VAS 6883 - Insulated Tool Set when working on these components.
→ Observe general warning notes for working on the high-voltage system.
> 2X00IN GENERAL WARNING NOTES FOR WORKING ON THE HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM
Preliminary work for measurement 1
(High-voltage charger, electric passenger compartment heater, charging socket and related wire harnesses)
- Remove luggage compartment trim panel (luggage compartment cover).
- Remove side trim panel for luggage compartment at the left.
> 700319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING SIDE TRIM PANEL FOR REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT - on "Removing"
- Release and disconnect high-voltage line (E-box - high-voltage charger) at the E-box.
The traction lines from the E-box to the power electronics must be connected.
High-voltage charger connection at E-box
- Connect high-voltage test adapter > VAS 6558/9-7 - High-voltage test adapter HVR 40
to high-voltage line (E-box - high-voltage charger). Leave the second connection open.
Measurement 1
- Perform measurement 1.
- 5.1 Setpoint value > 550 MOhm
- Evaluate measured result.
- 6.1 If the measured value is within the tolerance range, continue with measurement 5
- 6.2 If the measured value is outside of the tolerance range, continue with measurement 2
