Replacing Sun Blind Control Unit

The PIWIS Tester  instructions take precedence since the description may be different with later Tester releases.

The procedure described here has been structured in general terms. Different text or additional information may appear on the PIWIS Tester  .

  1. Connect the Tester to the vehicle and start it. Switch on ignition.
  2. Select the vehicle type if necessary.
  3. In the Overview  , select the sliding roof control unit, front (Panorama roof)  . Press F12 to continue. The message "Create Vehicle Analysis Log (VAL)?" appears. Press F11 to continue.
  4. Select Coding/programming  .
  5. Select Automatic programming  . Press F12 to continue.
    1. 5.1 The Tester displays the message: Programming successfully performed.
  6. Select Maintenance/repairs  .
  7. Teach panoramic roof  must now be selected. Press F12 to continue.
    1. 7.1 Read and follow the information and instructions on the Tester. Press F12 to continue and then press F8 to start.
    2. 7.2 Teach sun blind according to menu guidance. Press F12 to continue.
  8. Read out all fault memories  , process and delete existing faults if necessary.
  9. Exit the diagnostic application. Switch off ignition. Disconnect the Tester from the vehicle.
