Preparing Rear Side Window For Installation

Information 

• The removed rear side window can be re-installed if there was no prior damage to the rear side window and the rear side window was removed without damage. 

Information 

• Adhesive residue helps new adhesive to stick. Keep cut surfaces clean and free of grease and do not clean with cleaning solution. 

1. > V.A.G 1561B - Electric cutter  must be fitted with the flashing knife in order to remove the adhesive residue -1-  from the rear side window until a surface coating of adhesive residue remains.

2. Apply activator -H3-  to the adhesive residue that was cut back.

   Information 

   Check that the clips are not bent or broken.

   Check that all clips are positioned fully and correctly.

   Replace damaged or missing clips with new ones.

3. Clip trim frame for rear side window into side window.
