Installing Drive Belt For Air-Conditioning Compressor

Routing of drive belt for air-conditioning compressor

1. Vibration damper
2. Tensioning device for drive belt for air-conditioning compressor
3. Air-conditioning compressor
4. Deflection roller

1. Fit drive belt for air-conditioning compressor -4-  .

Drive belt

1. 1.1  Fit drive belt for air-conditioning compressor -4-  on the pulleys and align it along the grooves on the pulleys.
2. 1.2  To tension the drive belt for the air-conditioning compressor -4-  , swivel the tensioning device -3-  at the Torx splines -2-  as far as it will go anti-clockwise -Arrow-  using a TORX T55 socket wrench (the tensioning device -3-  must remain tensioned).
3. 1.3  Tighten screw on tensioning roller for air-conditioning compressor -1-  to > Tightening torque 25 Nm (19 ftlb.)  .
4. 1.4  Check that drive belt for air-conditioning compressor -4-  is seated and tensioned correctly.
