Subsequent Work

  1. After an oil change on the transfer gear, the wear values must be reset using the PIWIS Tester  .
  2. PIWIS Tester  must be connected to the vehicle.
  3. Select All-wheel drive electronics (PTM)  control unit.
  4. Select the Drive links/checks  menu.
  5. Select the menu item "Reset learning values after the oil change"  by pressing F12 and then press F8 to start.
  6. Install cover for front underbody

    > WM, 519219 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COVER FOR FRONT UNDERBODY

  7. Following assembly and after a successful Tester routine, perform a short run-in drive for 3 minutes  on the road at a speed of about 20 km/h (12 mph)  .
