  • Danger of scalding 
    1. → Let the fluid cool down.
    2. → Wear personal protective gear.
  1. Remove cover for front underbody.

    > WM, 519219 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COVER FOR FRONT UNDERBODY

  2. If engine/transmission units are cold, start the vehicle briefly and drive a short distance (approx. 200 metres) at a speed of 20 to 30 km/h (12 to 18 mph)  .
  3. Allow the engine/transmission unit to cool down to room temperature (about 20° to 25° Celsius).
  4. Visually inspect the engine/transmission unit for leaks.
  5. Position collection pan and have special tool ready.
