Checking And Topping Up Oil For All-Wheel Final Drive

Information 

• Only use oil approved by Porsche, see specifications in Spare Parts Information. 

Information 

• The transmission must be in installation position in order to check the oil level in the transfer gear. 
• Raise the vehicle so that it is level on the lifting platform. 

1. Unscrew oil filler screw -7-  . Collect dripping oil.

   Overview of drain and screw plugs

   1. 1.1 Replace oil filler screw.
2. The oil level must be at the lower edge of the filler bore. Check this visually or using a clean welding rod.
3. If the oil level is too low, add the prescribed oil as required until the oil level reaches the lower edge of the filler bore.
4. Screw in and tighten new oil filler screw.

   > Tightening torque 27 Nm (20 ftlb.)
