Removing Transfer Box

WARNING: Danger of objects or loads falling down 
  • Risk of squashing or crushing 
    1. → Secure components to prevent them from falling down.
  1. Disconnect electric wire harness -1-  from transfer gear.

    1. 1.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection -2-  .
    2. 1.2 Unclip clips -3-  .
  2. Depending on the type, a temperature sensor may be installed in the transfer gear.

    Release cable plug -2-  on temperature sensor -1-  and disconnect.

  3. Remove transfer gear -1-  .

    Transfer gear

    1. 3.1 Support transfer gear -1-  using > VAS 6931 - engine and gearbox jack  and secure with a tension strap.
    2. 3.2 Unscrew and remove screws -2-  .
    3. 3.3 Remove transfer gear -1-  using > VAS 6931 - engine and gearbox jack  .
