Removing Rubber Mounting For Final Drive (Front)

WARNING:
Hold the hydraulic cylinder -VAS 6178- tightly while pressing out components.
- The rubber mounting suddenly becomes loose. Danger of injury if the tools fall down.
WARNING:
Danger of objects or loads falling down
- Risk of squashing or crushing
- → Secure components to prevent them from falling down.
- Set the final drive down on a suitable surface.
- Fit tools on rubber mounting for final drive.
Tools on rubber mounting for final drive
- 2.1 Fit sleeve T40342/1 -1- with pressure piece sleeve T40342/2 -2- on final drive -3- .
- 2.2 Fit > VAS 6178 - hydraulic cylinder-4- from the front onto the already positioned tools and connect to >VAS 6179 - foot pump-5- .
- 2.3 Fit pressure piece T40342/3 -6- from the rear onto the rubber mounting for the final drive.
- 2.4 Insert threaded rod T10254/5 -7- into the tools and screw on nuts T10254/4 -8- as far as they will go.
- Press out rubber mounting for final drive from final drive.
- 3.1 Connect > VAS 6178 - hydraulic cylinder to compressed air.
- 3.2 Apply pressure to > VAS 6178 - hydraulic cylinder for as long as required until the rubber mounting for the final drive is completely pressed out of the final drive.
- 3.3 Remove special tools together with rubber mounting for final drive.
Information
Mountings that have been pressed out must not be re-used.
- Replace rubber mounting for final drive.
Information
Never use machining tools for cleaning the contact surfaces of the rubber mounting on the final drive.
- Clean contact surfaces of rubber mounting for final drive.
