Installing Rubber Mounting For Final Drive (Front)

Alignment of rubber mounting for final drive

1. 1.1 Fit new rubber mounting for final drive -1-  on the final drive -2-  and align it in such a way that the points of the rubber mounting -3-  are aligned with the bar on the final drive -4-  .
2. 1.2 Drive rubber mounting for final drive -1-  into final drive by tapping it lightly with a plastic hammer -2-  so that rubber mounting for final drive -1-  cannot be tilted or turned when pressed in.

Tools on rubber mounting for final drive

1. 2.1 Fit pressure piece T40342/4 -2-  from the front onto the rubber mounting for the final drive -1-  .
2. 2.2 Fit pressure piece T40342/1 -3-  together with pressure piece T40342/2 -4-  from the rear on the final drive
3. 2.3 Fit > VAS 6178 - hydraulic cylinder-6-  from the front onto the already positioned tools and connect to > VAS 6179 - foot pump-7-  .
4. 2.4 Insert threaded rod T10254/5 -8-  into the tools and screw on nuts T10254/4 -9-  as far as they will go.

1. 3.1 Connect > VAS 6178 - hydraulic cylinder  to compressed air.
2. 3.2 Apply pressure to > VAS 6178 - hydraulic cylinder  for as long as required until the rubber mounting for the final drive is fully pressed into the final drive and is flush with the final drive.
3. 3.3 Remove tools.
4. 3.4 Check that the rubber mounting for the final drive is fitted correctly in the final drive and correct it if necessary.
