Removing Differential Housing

Secure automatic transmission to universal mounting and position it with the engine side facing upwards.
1. 1.1 Automatic transmission to the > 3311 - retainer plate using > VW309A - hook and support tool
2. 1.2 Secure automatic transmission to the > VW309A - universal mounting with > VAS 6095/1 - retainer plate .
3. 1.3
Unscrew screws -15 to 1- .

Securing differential housing

Information

The transmission housing must only be pre-tensioned very slightly because otherwise the housing can loosen abruptly.
Remove differential housing -1- .

Differential housing
1. 3.1 > 9700 - Transport eyebolt must be positioned at the fastening points -2- .
2. 3.2 > VAS 501 015 - Round sling must be fitted on > 9700 - transport eyebolt . Then, pre-tension it slightly with the engine crane.
3. 3.3 Carefully loosen differential housing -1- using a rubber hammer and then lift it off using the engine crane.
