Installing Differential Housing

Information 

Always replace seals following removal.

1. Install differential housing -1-  .

   Differential housing

   1. 1.1 Carefully move differential housing -1-  into installation position using engine crane.
   2. 1.2 > 9700 - Transport eyebolt  and > VAS 501 015 - round sling  must be removed.
2. Secure differential housing.

   Securing differential housing

   1. 2.1 Replace screws -1 to 15-  .
   2. 2.2 Fit new  screws -1 to 15-  .
   3. 2.3 Tighten screws -1 to 14-  .

      > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.6 ftlb.) 

      > Final tightening + 90° 

   4. 2.4 Tighten screw -15-  .

      > Tightening torque 16 Nm (11.8 ftlb.)
