Removing Final Drive

- Unscrew nut on final drive -2-

Information
Always use an intermediate layer (e.g. hard rubber) when using the jack!
- Support the final drive.
Support for final drive
- 2.1 > VAS 6931 - Engine and gearbox jack must be positioned under the final drive using a suitable support. > Support for final drive
- 2.2 Carefully support the final drive using > VAS 6931 - engine and gearbox jack .
- Loosen final drive -1-

- 3.1 Unscrew screw on front final drive -3- .
- 3.2 Unscrew screws on rear final drive -4- .
- 3.3 Only if installed:
Release and disconnect electric plug connection on servo motor for final drive -5- .

You will need a second mechanic to help you with this step.
- Remove final drive.
- 4.1 Lower the final drive on > VAS 6931 - engine and gearbox jack and get another person to help you to guide it out of the vehicle.
