Removing Transmission Support

  1. Disconnect electric line -1-  .

    Line clips

    1. 1.1 Unclip line clips -2-  and leave electric line -1-  hanging at the side.
    WARNING: Danger of objects or loads falling down 
    • Risk of squashing or crushing 
      1. → Secure components to prevent them from falling down.
  2. Support the transmission in area -1-  using > VAS 6931 - engine and gearbox jack-2-  and a suitable base (e.g. a wooden block).

    Support for transmission

  3. Remove transmission support -1-  .

    Transmission support

    1. 3.1 Mark installation position of transmission support with a pen/marker.
    2. 3.2 Unscrew and remove screws -2-  .
    3. 3.3 Lower the transmission support slightly and unscrew screws securing emergency release cable to transmission support.
    4. 3.4 Unscrew nuts -3-  and remove transmission support -1-  .
