Installing Steering Column (Centre)

Information 

The steering column must only be replaced as a complete unit. Individual components cannot be disassembled or replaced.

1. Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:

   Steering column (centre)

   1. 1.1 Tighten screws on the centre of the steering column in the sequence -2 to 5-  .

      > Tightening torque 20 Nm (14.8 ftlb.) 

   2. 1.2 Clean the thread before installing the new screw for the intermediate steering shaft on the centre of the steering column.

      Fit screw by hand, pull on the intermediate steering shaft to check that it is fitted correctly and then tighten the screw.

      > Initial tightening 20 Nm (14.8 ftlb.) 

      > Final tightening + 90°
