Install tie-rod ends.
> Removing and installing tie-rod end
Remove upper control arm.
> 401819 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CONTROL ARM
Install lower trailing arm.
> Removing and installing lower trailing arm
Remove power steering gear.
> 489019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING POWER STEERING GEAR
Install stabilizer.
Vehicles with PDCC:

> Removing and installing front anti-roll bar (PDCC)

Vehicles without PDCC:

> Removing and installing front stabilizer
Install front level sensors.
> Replacing front level sensor
Tighten screw on universal joint for steering column -2- .
> Initial tightening 20 Nm (14.8 ftlb.)

> Final tightening + 90°

Install heat shield -1- .

Heat shield
1. 8.1 Position heat shield -1- and screw in screws -2- .
2. 8.2 Tighten screws on heat shield -2- .
  Screws securing one-piece heat shield to front axle carrier:
  
  > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.6 ftlb.)
  
  Screws securing one-piece heat shield to longitudinal member:
  
  > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.) (6.6 ftlb.)
  
  Screws securing two-piece heat shield to front axle carrier:
  
  > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.6 ftlb.)
  
  Screws securing upper part of two-piece heat shield to longitudinal member:
  
  > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.) (6.6 ftlb.)
  
  Screws securing upper part of two-piece heat shield to lower part:
  
  > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.) (6.6 ftlb.)
Install wheel housing liner front.
> Removing and installing wheel housing liner front
Install front wheels.
> Removing and fitting wheel
Remove engine safety device.
> 1001IN SUPPORTING ENGINE ON THE BODY (ENGINE SAFETY DEVICE)
Perform start-up procedure for 48 V vehicle electrical system.
> Work instruction for 48 V vehicle electrical system
Perform suspension alignment.
> Measuring vehicle front/rear
