Preliminary Work

Disconnect 48 V vehicle electrical system.

Support the engine.
> 1001IN SUPPORTING ENGINE ON THE BODY (ENGINE SAFETY DEVICE)
Remove front wheels.

Remove wheel housing liner front.

Information
- One-piece or two-piece heat protection is installed, depending on engine type.
- The one-piece heat protection is described here; the two-piece heat protection must also be completely removed.
Remove heat shield -1- .

Heat shield
1. 5.1 Unscrew screws on heat shield -2- .
2. 5.2 Remove heat shield -1- .
Remove front level sensors.
> Replacing front level sensor
Remove front stabilizer.
Vehicles with PDCC:

> Removing and installing front anti-roll bar (PDCC)

Vehicles without PDCC:

> Removing and installing front stabilizer
Remove power steering gear.

Install lower trailing arm.

Remove upper control arm.

Remove tie-rod ends.
