Replacing Rear PCCB Brake Pads: Notes

NOTIFICATION
Removing/fitting wheels
- Risk of damage to (ceramic) brake discs
→ Carefully guide the wheel towards the wheel hub, thereby preventing any heavy impact on the (ceramic) brake disc.
Information
- The core of the warning contact line must not be exposed! Worn insulation is not important!
- If necessary, remove a little brake fluid from the reservoir by suction in order to prevent an overflow when the disc brake pads are pushed back.
Information
Protect the paintwork on the brake calliper from damage using a suitable cloth.
- Have a transmission jack ready for the brake calliper.
- Remove brake calliper -1-
and place it on the transmission jack you have ready.
Rear brake calliper
- Remove brake pads -2-
from brake calliper -1-
.
Rear brake calliper
- 3.1 Insert a suitable tool between the brake pads -2- and brake calliper -1- .
- 3.2 Carefully loosen the brake pads -2- from the brake calliper -1- by turning the tool slightly. Make sure not to damage the dust boots on the brake pistons.
- 3.3 Remove brake pads -2- from pad retaining pins -3- .
- 3.4 Remove pad retaining clips -4- .
