1. 2.1  Unscrew and remove screws -1-  .
2. 2.2  Remove cover plate for brake disc -2-  .

Spreader device mounting

Information 

The spreader device (actuator) is fitted on the rear-axle wheel bearing housing. It is the servo motor for the electric parking brake (EPB) and spreads the parking-brake shoes when actuated.

Spreader device

• When removing the spreader device, a tie-wrap must be secured to the actuator pins to prevent them from turning. 

1. 3.1  Fasten tie-wrap on actuator pins on the spreader device.
2. 3.2  Unscrew screws securing spreader device to wheel bearing housing -Arrows-  .
