Installing Front Brake Disc

Information
Do not confuse left and right brake discs during installation!
Distinguishing feature: Part number! The flat surface of the brake discs is marked with R = right or L = left!
- Only when re-using brake discs:
Check thickness of front disc brake pads.

- Only when re-using brake discs:
Check front brake disc (wear assessment).

- Clean the levelling and centering surfaces on the brake disc and wheel hub.
- Apply a very thin coat of Molub Alloy Paste TA to the centering surface on the wheel hub.
- Install brake disc.

- 5.1 Position brake disc on contact surface.
- 5.2
Fit and tighten new
screws on brake disc -Arrows-

> Tightening torque 8 Nm (5.9 ftlb.)
- Fit front brake calliper -1-

Front brake calliper
- 6.1 Reset brake pads using > 9472 - brake piston resetting fixture .
- 6.2 Remove securing elements and > T10439 - assembly pins .
- 6.3 Position front brake calliper -1- .
- 6.4
Screw in and tighten brake calliper screws -3-
.
> Initial tightening 30 Nm (22 ftlb.) > Final tightening + 90°
- 6.5 Connect electric plug connection for brake pad wear indicator -2- .
