Replacing Rear PCCB Brake Pads: Notes

Removing/fitting wheels

Information 

Protect the paintwork on the brake calliper from damage using a suitable cloth.

  1. Have a transmission jack ready for the brake calliper.
  2. Remove brake calliper and place it on the prepared transmission jack.
  3. Remove brake pads -2-  from brake calliper -1-  .

    Rear brake calliper

    1. 3.1  > T10145 - Piston resetting appliance  must be inserted between the brake pads -2-  .
    2. 3.2  Press the brake pistons back slowly and evenly. Make sure not to damage the dust boots on the brake pistons.
    3. 3.3  > T10145 - Piston resetting appliance  must now be removed.
    4. 3.4  Insert a suitable tool between the brake pads -2-  and brake calliper -1-  .
    5. 3.5  Carefully loosen the brake pads -2-  from the brake calliper -1-  by turning the tool slightly. Make sure not to damage the dust boots on the brake pistons.
    6. 3.6  Remove brake pads -2-  from pad retaining pins -3-  .
    7. 3.7  Remove pad retaining clips -4-  .
