Removing Transmission Control Mechanism

- Remove electric pump -1-
.
Electric pump
- 1.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection -2- .
- 1.2 Unscrew screws in the sequence -5 to 3- .
- 1.3 Pull off electric pump -1- .
- Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1-
on the transmission by turning it anti-clockwise.

- Remove transmission connector housing -1-
.
Transmission connector housing
- 3.1 Unscrew screw -2- .
- 3.2 Release and disconnect transmission connector housing -1- on the transmission by turning it anti-clockwise.
- Position gearshift lever for emergency release in a vertical position and secure it at this position with a tie-wrap. This makes it easier to engage the selector valve in the emergency release claw during installation.

Rpm sensor in park position
- To prevent damage to the rpm sensor when removing the transmission control mechanism, the rpm sensor must be secured in the so-called park position.
- The position of the rpm sensor -1- must be changed as shown for this purpose and must be moved into park position.
- Loosen rpm sensor -1-
from transmission housing.

- 5.1 Unscrew screw -2- .
- 5.2 Move rpm sensor -1- into park position.
Information
- Only the screws with head screw Torx T40 must be loosened.
- Loosening other screws can impair the function of the transmission control mechanism or the transmission control mechanism can separate.

- 6.1 Unscrew screws in the sequence -19 to 3- .
- 6.2 > T40199 - Centring tool must be screwed hand-tight into the screw holes -6, 8, 13 and 15- .
- 6.3 Unscrew screw -2- .
- 6.4 Remove transmission control mechanism -1- .
- 6.5 > T40199 - Guide pins must now be removed.
