Teaching Power-Steering Gear

Information

If the steering gear is replaced, the steering lock settings must be taught.
The steering lock settings are cleared after calibrating the steering-angle sensor and must be re-taught.

Connect the PIWIS Tester to the vehicle and start the PIWIS Tester. Switch on ignition
Start the diagnostic software.
Select control unit Power-steering .
Select the Maintenance/repairs tab.
Press F12 to select Commissioning .
Follow the instructions on the Tester.
