Installing Tie Rod

Tie rod ball joint

1. 1.1  Fit tie rod -2-  and screw it as far as it will go into the rack-and-pinion by hand.
2. 1.2  Tighten the octagon -1-  using > V.A.G 1923 - a/f 38 open-end spanner attachment  to > Tightening torque 100 Nm (73.8 ftlb.)  . Make sure not to damage the rack-and-pinion.
