Preliminary Work

  1. Remove front underbody cover (rear section).

  2. Remove footwell outlet vent on driver's side.

  3. Remove A-pillar trim panel (lower part)

  4. Loosen floor covering on driver's side and press it to the rear.

  5. Move driver seat as far as it will go to the rear.
  6. Adjust steering wheel as far as possible downwards to the rear. To do this, use the full adjustment range of the steering column adjustment.
    1. 6.1  Switch off ignition.
  7. Turn wheels to straight-ahead position.
  8. Secure steering wheel against unintentional turning with wheels in straight-ahead position.
