- Secure air line -3 or 4-
to the valve unit.
Valve unit
- 1.1
Tighten union nut -1 or 2-
on the relevant air line -3 or 4-
at the valve unit.
Tighten union nut -1- on line -4- to > Tightening torque 2.3 Nm (1.7 ftlb.) after removing the right air bellows.
Tighten union nut -2- on line -3- to > Tightening torque 2.3 Nm (1.7 ftlb.) after removing the left air bellows.

Tighten union nut -1 or 2-
on the relevant air line -3 or 4-
at the valve unit.
- Install stone guard for valve unit -1-

Position stone guard forvalve unit -1-
hand tighten nuts to > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.)
Information
- The air bellows may only be filled if it was already positioned correctly in the trailing arm (to do this, lift lower trailing arm using > VAS 6931 - transmission and aggregate jack if necessary).

Position stone guard forvalve unit -1-
hand tighten nuts to > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.)
- Fill the relevant air bellows.

- Visually inspect the rear air bellows.
Rolling creases in the protective boot must be removed correctly (no kinks)!
