Removing Anti-Roll Bar

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
CAUTION: Electrically moved components
  • Danger of limbs being trapped

    → Switch off electric power to drive motor.

    → Make sure it does not switch on again.

    → Check that there is no electric charge.

WARNING: Wheel bearing housing raised incorrectly
  • Risk of crushing
  • Risk of damage to components

    → Wear personal protective gear.

    → Do not raise the wheel suspension higher than the normal vehicle position (vehicle resting on wheels).

  1. Loosen connecting link for anti-roll bar To do this, counter at the nut -5-  and unscrew screw -4-  .

  2. Disconnect wire harness for PDCC at the roll stabilisation (PDCC) (observe specified sequence).

    Electric plug connections for PDCC anti-roll bar

    1. 2.1  Release and disconnect electric plug connections in the sequence -1 to 2-  .
    2. 2.2  Unclip clips -3-  .
  3. Disconnect electric wire harness for anti-roll bar -1-  on body side.
    1. 3.1  Unscrew nut on ground line -2-  in the rear left wheel housing and unclip clips on wiring harness -3-  .

  4. Disconnect electric wire harness for anti-roll bar -1-  on the axle side.

    Clips on electric wiring harness for PDCC anti-roll bar

    1. 4.1  Unclip clips on electric wire harness for anti-roll bar -2-  .
    2. 4.2  Pull grommet for electric wire harness for anti-roll bar -3-  out of the holder.
    3. 4.3  Guide out electric wire harness -1-  and set it aside in such a way that the anti-roll bar can be removed.
  5. Remove rear anti-roll bar -2-  .

    Anti-roll bar on rear axle (PDCC)

    1. 5.1  Unscrew screws on anti-roll bar clamps -1-  and remove anti-roll bar -2-  .
    2. 5.2  Guide anti-roll bar -2-  with anti-roll bar clamps -3-  down out of the vehicle.
